4th of July Family Festivals – Music, Food, Fireworks & More
💥 Ginnie Springs annual Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, June 29th, 2019. Start your day off with the family doing some kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, tubing or just plain fun in the water during the day. Then kick start your fireworks fun extended weekend with an evening performance by the Jamie Davis Band and The Band Be Easy and follow it up with Fireworks at nightfall. 💥 Inverness Patriotic Evening on July 3rd. UPDATE for 2019, Liberty Park & Wallace Brooks park are closed due to construction. Fireworks show will be at 9:00 PM and families are encouraged to find a safe place to park your vehicles. No live bands or food vendors this year.
Held at Liberty Park and Wallace Brooks Park located at 286 N. Apopka Ave in Inverness, FL 34450. This is annual festival that starts at 6 PM and has a free concert, food trucks, vendors and a firework display to start just after 9 PM. The fireworks can be seen from two beautiful lakeside locations and from various spots throughout town. Get there early to make sure you enjoy the entire evening!
💥 Fanfares and Fireworks is a July 3rd celebration happening in Gainesville from 7 to 10 PM at the University of Florida Bandshell at Flavet Field. The event will feature live bands: Bears and Lions, Billy Buchanon & His Rock ‘n Soul Revue and Gainesville Community Band. Lifesouth Blood Center will conduct a blood drive during the event, food will be available and fireworks to follow around 9:40 PM. Dogs, sparklers, drones and alcohol are prohibited for safety reasons. Coolers are allowed but are subject to search by the UF Police Department.
💥Freedom on the Waterfront is a July 3rd celebration happening in Mt. Dora from 5 to 9:30 PM at Elizabeth Evans Park. The event features live music and fireworks. Parking and the event is free. Elizabeth Evans Park is located at 100 N Donnelly St, Mt Dora, FL 32757, please visit the website for all the free parking information.
💥 The Patriotic Celebration on the 4th of July at Circle Square Commons Town Square located in Ocala on 8405 SW 80th St. includes good music, food, and fireworks display at 9 pm. According to the staff, this is the BEST fireworks display around! There will be a variety of food vendors on site as well as live music including Never Never Band, Second Slice and I-4 Band. Parking opens at 4 PM and festivities start at 4:30 PM. Parking is free for On Top of the World or Stone Creek residents and $5 for non-residents.
💥 God and Country Day at Golden Ocala on 7340 US-27, Ocala, FL 34482. July 4th, 2019 – The parking entrances are off of 225A, South of Hwy 27.
The 50th annual celebration runs from 2PM thru the Fireworks on the 4th of July. It will include fresh food, games for the family, live music, face painting, water slides, bounce houses, pony rides, contests, and 30 minute fireworks display at 9 pm. It is well-known as the largest fireworks display in Marion county and parking is only 5$.
💥 City of Alachua Annual July 4th Celebration at the Hal Brady Recreation Complex located in Alachua at 14300 NW 146 Terrace
An annual independence day event which has been dubbed as “The Largest Small Town Fireworks Display in America.” Entertainment includes a Skate Park, Bungee Jumping, Waterslides, Bounce Houses, Bingo, Dancing, and Live Bands. Fireworks at 9:30 PM. Event hours run from 3-10 PM on the 4th of July.
💥 Crystal River’s annual Old-Fashioned July 4th at Kings Bay Park located in Crystal River at 268 NW 3rd St.
From 5-10 PM on the 4th of July offering free contests, live music, games, and fireworks. Food, Beer, and Wine will be on sale and Fireworks show begin at 9 (ish).
There will be fireworks visible around the lake on the 4th, we’ll update again once we know more.
💥 4th of July in Tavares Celebrating the Sounds of Freedom at Tavares down town entertainment district located at Main and Ruby Streets.
From 4-9:30 PM on the 4th of July offering parade, entertainment, kids activities, fireworks and more! Fireworks show begins at 9 (ish).
This Independence day celebration lasts from July 1st thru the 4th of July on the shores of Eaton’s Beach Sandbar & Grill. All who attend are suggested to wear swim gear. This event is scheduled to include Live Music, Food & Drink, Competitive Beach Games, and the best view for Lake Weir Fireworks.
💥 5th of July City of Eustis Hometown Celebration in Eustis, FL at 250 Ferran Park Dr, Eustis, FL
From 5-9:30 PM on the 5th of July offering free kids zone (bounce houses, face painters, water slides, balloon animals, magician, splash pads and more!), central Florida Show Ski Team, Triangle Wrestling Club, Music including Kaleb Lee from the Voice (at the bandshell) and fireworks! Great way to wrap up your 4th of July celebration! Fireworks to start around 9:30 PM.
🇺🇸 Flag March in Ocala on Silver Springs Blvd.
U.S. patriots march from 10:00 to 11:00 on the 4th of July; this event is free to the public and will include music and inspirational live speakers at the Downtown Square after parade.
🎉 Sky Zone Ocala located on 2400 SW College Rd in Ocala.
A family friendly center to play ultimate dodgeball, compete against others, rock climb and so much more. SkyZone Ocala has told us that if they can get their doors open they’ll have special July 4th hours, so keep an eye on their FaceBook page for more details!
🏃 Iggy’s “Four on the Fourth” Freedom Run scheduled for the 4th of July in Ocala on 2601 E Fort King St.
A four mile race open to everyone on independence day morning. It is scheduled to begin at 7:30 AM and will end whenever you pass the finish line. Records will be rewarded by race officials. Proceeds from this event will be donated to Veteran’s Park and the “WE CAN WEEKEND” program. Registration beforehand is necessary. This event is to commence and finish at the Veteran’s Memorial Park.
🚵 The Santos Trailhead in Ocala on 3080 SE 80th St.
A 4.4 mile long scenic loop bike trail available to the public; completed by restrooms, a picnic area, and a paved parking lot.
2019 UPDATE COMING🏊 Aquatic Fun Centers in Ocala on 255 NW Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. & 2390 SE 36 Ave.
Public pool facilities that include a water slide, and waterfalls at both locations. Trained lifeguards that are always on duty and each location is officially set to be open from 11 AM – 5 PM on July 4th.
👨👩👧👦 Ocala Regional Sportsplex located on 3500 SW 67th Ave
Offers a vast selection of activities to the community on its 80 acre grounds. Options include baseball fields, batting pits, football fields, basketball courts, two playgrounds, volleyball nets, remote control race car tracks, pavilions, public restrooms, water fountains and much more.
🐄 Uncle Donald’s Farm in Lady Lake at 2713 Griffin Ave
Petting Zoo holding a patriotic animal parade on the 4th of July. This event will be showcasing all types of species ranging from pigs to exotic creatures like ostriches decked out in costume.Professionals will later on provide an interactive independence day lesson on reptiles. Location is just outside the Villages.
🚣 Rainbow Springs in Dunellon on 19158 SW 81st Place Rd.
Historically significant park which offers an abundance of activities such as Canoeing, Tubing, Camping, Picnicking, and Birding. Also acknowledged for its supreme sights, gardens, hiking trails, and waterfalls. It is set to be open to the public on July 4th.
🏊 Juniper Springs located in Ocala on 26701 FL-40, Silver Springs
Subtropical springs which has been designated for public swimming & recreation since 1930. Open to all visitors on Independence day. Also enables picnicking and camping just outside the springs from 8 AM to 8 PM. All camping must be organized with park in advance.
🐴 Canyon’s Zip line and Canopy Tours in Ocala on 8045 NW Gainesville Rd.
Famous attraction known for its distinguished location and scenery; customers are served to zip lining & horseback riding. Features are set be open and available to the community on Independence day at normal hours but appointments must be made in advance.
🚦 Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing in Ocala on 13700 SW 16th Ave.
International Drag Racing Hall of Fame which features nearly 300 historical cars. For July 4th they will be open to the public from 9 AM to 5 PM.
🏁 Coca-Cola Firecracker 250 July 6th at Daytona International Speedway
This Nascar race has been a fan favorite for almost 6 decades! Includes a Kids Zone, Autograph Session, Merchandise Stands and a performance from Tyler Farr. Tickets will have to be bought in advance.
